The coastal character here shapes the work — pohutukawa on the beachfront, Norfolk pine as established amenity trees, and the WBOPDC's coastal environment rules which apply throughout the area. We offer the full range of services: removal, felling, pruning, lopping, trimming, stump grinding, and storm response. Storm work at Pukehina is seasonal — coastal weather events regularly bring down branches and fronds, and occasional tree failures need to be responded to quickly. We aim for same-day response on genuine hazards. For planned tree work on Pukehina sections, we start with a free site assessment that covers the tree's condition, the appropriate work, and — importantly — the WBOPDC consent status of the tree before any work is quoted.
